I keep seeing these ads promoting historical Williamsburg, Virginia, while watching the Memorial Day edition of Kathie Lee and Hoda (don’t judge). And I’ve decided I’d really, really love to see the Visit Williamsburg site hacked and taken over by visuals of tatted up hipster guys in skinny jeans and blurbs about buffalo exchange and kickball leagues.
Just for a day or so, and then they can go back to blacksmiths and bonnets.

I had not seen Ronny Beberman’s seltzer delivery truck in the neighborhood for a while, so I was happy to come across it this morning in Cobble Hill, piled high with those old thick blue bottles in their weather-beaten wooden crates.Ronny Beberman, a.k.a. the Seltzer Man, has been bringing the bubbly stuff to neighborhood stoops for four decades and, in the process, has become quite an iconic figure.

Known for having the best brunch in the known universe, Egg has been holding Farm Dinners for the past couple months. Farm Dinner = Several Course Meal Culled Mostly From Their Upstate Farm. And they let us pair our beers with each course. It’s always a super good, informal tasty time. Does anyone else find this slightly disturbing? I understand that artificially placed populations sometimes have to be dealt with this way, but this is kind of spooky. I hope some new geese make it to Prospect Park by the time I get there.
